We got the bench. Another chill crossing. I could get used to living on an island like this. Watched a stand-off between seagull and wean with sandwich; child won (this time). Many tourists coming to the island for the day to explore the fascinating fort. Odd facts: the island spent much of its life with a greater population than Helsinki, and until the 1980s you could walk to it in winter across frozen sea. Weather today is windless, cloudy and 20.
