Here’s proof that I was overly optimistic on how long it would take to design, cut and fit bannisters but our staircase is now safe again. Things I learned:

  • I won’t be doing that again
  • It would have been easier with pretty much any form of electric chopping saw but it was possible without (hard mode engaged)
  • I actually dislike the painting part the most
  • Working at the bottom of the stairs is the least convenient place to work in the house (maximum congestion all of the time)
  • New skills unlocked!
